Brittany Bourne

Men’s Health senior physiotherapist
B.Physio, M.Clin Phys (Continence and Pelvic Health), APAM.

Brittany is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist specialising in pelvic organ dysfunction for both men and women. She is experienced in providing assessment and treatment in pelvic floor pre/rehabilitation in varying prostate cancer treatment modalities including surgical, radiation and hormone therapy. She follows a patient centred-care philosophy to ensure her patients are reaching their rehabilitation goals and improving all aspects of their well-being.

Administration Officer

Tracy comes from a corporate and hospitality backgrounds and she brings a wealth of experience in delivering excellent customer service. Tracy assisted with the development of COVID screening protocols for the St Vincent hospital and worked in administrative roles at the Garvin Institute Diabetes Centre and the Kinghorn Cancer Centre Oncology Department.

‘My key role is overseeing the daily administrative requirements of the centre and coordinate patients care with other health services. I enjoy working closely with a great team that supports each other on a day-to-day basis. Every day brings something new which makes the work interesting and rewarding when you see the positive outcomes for our clients.

Luke Herzog

Luke Herzog

MEN'S HEALTH SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST
B.App.Sc.(Ex. & Sport Sc), M.Physio.
Luke is a Men’s Health physiotherapist with a background in prostate cancer services and male urological conditions. He is trained and experienced in real-time ultrasound assessment for pelvic floor function and implements additional evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes from various treatments. He is passionate about improving access to physiotherapy services and enhancing quality of life.

Men’s Health Program Manager
B.Nurs, B.Psych, M.Nurs, MPH, MHM.
Kammy is the centre manager, she was a Clinical Specialist Nurse in neurosurgery ward and ICU, then she joined the Royal Australian Navy and became a Nursing Officer. She has over 10 years’ experience in managing health services and passionate about providing high standard person-centred care that is affordable, accessible and meet the patient’s needs. Kammy is leading the Men's health centre research project.
Russell Parbury

Russell Parbury

Prostate Cancer Navigator Nurse
B.Nurs, PGrad.cert Oncology nursing.
Russell comes to us with a strong nursing background. He started nursing in 2008 with a keen motivation to support and help people who are unwell. Russell’s nursing career spans 16 years with a strong background in the surgical and oncology fields. Over these years Russell developed a strong passion in prostate cancer. More recently, Russell has worked as a prostate cancer specialist nurse supporting men with prostate cancer and their families. Russell has training, knowledge and experience in continence rehabilitation, penile rehabilitation and psycho- social issues relating to prostate cancer, especially in relation to quality of life.

‘Supporting men going through the life changing event of prostate cancer requires a team effort. There are various care needs of patients that require addressing. The Men’s Health Centre incorporates various arms of the allied health care team, centralising care and addressing those needs’

Jenny Rigby-Knight

Men’s Health social worker
B.SW (Hons).

Jenny is a senior social worker with over 35 years of experience including working in Children’s Oncology and ICU at major Sydney teaching hospital. She is passionate about supporting patients and their families to navigate the impacts of a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Jenny is accustomed to working with the treating team  in considering  all aspects of the patient’s wellbeing. She can provide a listening ear for patients struggling with this huge change and emotional support to patients and their families. This might include referrals for  ongoing  counselling support. 

Jenny can guide patients  on applying for financial assistance,  Centrelink, crisis funds,  avenues for accessing pro bono legal advice , information around transport subsidies, housing applications, in-home practical support via Myagedcare or NDIS …community resources.

 

Peter Talbot

Men’s Health Dietitian
B.Sc, Dipl. Nurition and Dietetics, MScMed, MPH, APD.

Peter is an experienced dietitian with over four decades of expertise in clinical practice, research, and health service management. He is recognized for his leadership in the Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) sector, as well as significant contributions to research in eating disorders and cardiac nutrition. He has proven ability to support oncology and cardiac patients through evidence-based dietary strategies that enhance treatment outcomes and quality of life. Peter is enthusiastic about integrating nutritional therapy into holistic cancer care to optimize patient well-being. 

Douglas Williams

Men’s Health clinical psychologist
B.Sc, B.PsychSc(Hon), BA, MPsych(Clin).
Douglas is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychology Registrar, who works to support people in adjusting to difficult times, and in pursuing a happier and healthier future. Doug uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other modalities to provide trauma-informed support to men throughout their treatment journey. His research background has focused on health psychology, exposure to workplace trauma, and sexual satisfaction.
