One in six Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. It is the most prevalent cancer in men, responsible for 1 in 8 male cancer deaths. Here at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney, we are committed to helping all patients with prostate cancer receive world-class care so they can manage the disease with dignity. To achieve this, funding is needed to develop innovative procedures and undertake ground-breaking research.
In its quest to deliver excellent healthcare for all, St Vincent’s Curran Foundation seeks to bridge government funding gaps for St Vincent’s Hospitals and facilities in New South Wales. The generous support of individuals, community groups and businesses allow our doctors and nurses at St Vincent’s to deliver exceptional patient care, conduct innovative medical research and provide clinical education.
St Vincent's Curran Foundation is now working to secure another $4 million in donations to support this leading model of men’s health. A generous $3.3 million gift from the NELUNE Foundation has enabled the establishment of the development of the St Vincent’s NELUNE Men’s Health Centre, a state-first, unique model of care for prostate cancer care and treatment.
The Centre will provide a holistic approach for all patients to receive the best care available, with a focus on accessing and integrating expertise across all areas of their care and access to a comprehensive range of treatment services.
Donate today to the St Vincent’s NELUNE Men’s Health Centre to help St Vincent's Hospital Sydney stay at the forefront of prostate cancer care and research.
